Castle & Key Experimental Series Rye Whiskey 2024 Vino de Naranja 750ml
The Castle & Key Experimental Series is a playground for innovation, pushing the boundaries of whiskey craftsmanship. The 2024 Vino de Naranja Finish is a remarkable expression, taking their signature rye whiskey and finishing it in Vino de Naranja barrels, a rare Spanish wine made by macerating orange peels in white wine. This process infuses the whiskey with vibrant citrus, rich spice, and delicate sweetness, creating a truly one-of-a-kind flavor profile.
- 👃 Nose: Bright aromas of candied orange peel, honeyed spice, and toasted oak, with hints of floral vanilla.
- 👅 Palate: A lively balance of juicy citrus, warm baking spices, caramelized sugar, and herbal rye character, complemented by subtle wine tannins.
- 🍂 Finish: Long and evolving, with lingering notes of citrus zest, spiced oak, and a gentle sweetness that lingers on the tongue.
